Completed in 2023, the David Lloyd Leisure Club in Houlton, Rugby formed part of a major development designed to create a thriving, family-focused community in the area. The facility was built to provide high-quality fitness, wellness, and leisure amenities for residents of the expanding Houlton neighbourhood.
QGS was responsible for delivering the full façade package for the project. The installation featured a range of Senior Architectural Systems products, including SF52 Fully Capped Curtain Wall, SPW 600 Windows, SPW 501 Doors, and AliFold Folding Doors. Each system was selected to provide lasting performance, visual quality, and energy efficiency suited to a busy leisure environment.

As noted in the official David Lloyd press release, “the club brings local residents a destination for the whole family including a gym, indoor and outdoor pools, spa and spa garden, tennis and padel courts, group classes, DL Kids classes and activities, plus a Clubroom and Business area to ensure you have a space for the whole day, every day.”
Careful coordination with the contractor and the wider design team ensured the façade aligned perfectly with the architectural vision and performance requirements. The result was a robust, elegant building envelope that complemented the contemporary design of the facility while supporting its long-term operational goals.
This project demonstrated the QGS approach to façade delivery: combining technical expertise, precision, and collaboration to achieve exceptional results in the leisure sector.
