QGS was appointed to deliver the full façade package for a new Boys’ Boarding House at Stowe School, working in close collaboration with Stepnell Ltd as part of a high-quality expansion to the school’s residential facilities.
Our package included Schüco FW 50+ SG curtain walling and AWS 114 SG type windows—systems selected for their slim, structural glazing appearance and excellent performance in terms of thermal efficiency, durability, and visual impact. The result is a clean and modern façade solution that integrates seamlessly into the wider architectural context of the site.

Founded in 1923, Stowe School is one of the UK’s most prestigious independent schools. It is set within the Grade I-listed Stowe House and the surrounding 880 acres of historic Capability Brown-landscaped gardens in Buckinghamshire. Any development on this estate requires sensitivity to the unique environment, and the new boarding house achieves a careful balance between contemporary functionality and respect for its heritage setting.
QGS worked closely with the project team to ensure precision installation and a high-quality finish, maintaining programme requirements while delivering a façade solution that supports both comfort and longevity for its future occupants.
